The world went into meltdown when golden couple Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their split earlier this year. And with the release of Anna’s autobiography Unqualified – written before she and Chris broke up – we’re getting a glimpse into the inner workings of their long-coveted relationship.
In an excerpt published in the Daily Mail, Anna recounts her immediate attraction for Chris, despite being married to Ben Indra at the time.
Anna knew that her marriage wasn’t working when she met Chris on the set of the 2007 film Take Me Home Tonight. The 40-year-old revealed they developed a strong friendship while filming and she felt incredibly jealous when Chris hooked up with other women on set.
After hanging out at a costar’s apartment and realising how intense their chemistry was, she decided she had to end her marriage.
Anna felt like a “villain” when she called her husband to tell him she was divorcing him
“But even on the phone I had to repeat myself a number of times before he took me at my word. ‘You’re just tired; you’re really tired,’ he responded at first.”
“I just said: ‘Nope, I’m leaving you.’ And that was that,” she writes.
“Pretty soon I was knocking on Chris’s door and was basically like, ‘Hi, I’m ready to get boned.’”
The pair started dating shortly after and Anna said it was “hot and heavy in a way that I’d never experienced before.”
Despite not technically cheating on her first husband, Anna still felt guilty about the way things panned out.
“Sure, I get to proclaim I didn’t f**k Chris before I left Ben, but what is there to celebrate in that? It didn’t make me a hero.”
“After all, I wanted to. Desperately. And I had feelings for him obviously even if I wasn’t honest with myself about what those were,” she confesses.
