Kim Kardashian is expecting her fourth child via surrogate, and this weekend held a baby shower for friends and family to celebrate. The social media mogul dubbed the event a CBD baby shower, in what friends called a “zen” celebration. Activities included making CBD infused products, arranging flowers and a group session sound bath.
What is CBD oil?
CBD or cannabidiol is one of at least 113 different cannabinoids which come from cannabis plants.
Cannabidiol accounts for around 40 percent of the plants extract and has been associated with relieving anxiety and pain, among other effects.
There are several ways that cannabidiol can be taken into the body including, inhalation of cannabis through smoke or vapour, aerosol spray and by mouth.

The substance can come in the form of CBD oil, which contains only CBD as the active ingredient.
This means there would be no THC which is responsible for the psychoactive element in cannabis.
What did Kim Kardashian do at her CBD baby shower?
Kim showcased her baby shower on her Instagram stories, showing how guests were spending their day.
She started by showing someone making CBD infused bath oils and bath salts, mixing the CBD oil with various nice smelling products.
Next, she showed guests gathered on yoga mats outside, saying: “Let’s zen out for a Saturday. So everyone have a puff and put on some oil.”
This was for a group session sound bath – a form of meditation, which involves a meditation leader using improvised sounds to help participants relieve stress.
The term bath does not refer to water, however. Instead, participants are immersed in sound.
The reason for this meditative baby shower was that Kim was “freaking out” at having a fourth child.
She confessed her stress to guests, who included Chrissy Teigen, sister Kourtney Kardashian, Paris Hilton, daughter North West and niece Penelope Disick.
Kim said: “I thought it was kind of ridiculous to have a fourth baby shower. But I thought I’m freaking out having a fourth kid.”
When he arrives, Kim and Kanye West’s youngest son will join North, five Saint, three, and Chicago, one.
