Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler aren’t cutting corners on the “in sickness and in health” part of marriage.
In a clip from the upcoming mid-season episode of her E! series Very Cavallari, the reality star dishes over a dinner gathering about a time when her football-pro husband helped her out of quite the bind.
“I had major clogged [milk] ducts,” says Cavallari, 32, who shares three children with Cutler: sons Jaxon Wyatt, 5 next month, and Camden Jack, 6½, as well as daughter Saylor James, 3.
“Jay had to get them out for me. … Sucking harder than he’s ever sucked,” she continues amid the astonishment of her pals, adding in a confessional, “And you know what? Saved my life.”

Cavallari opened up to PEOPLE Now in February about how having Cutler, 35, at home while he’s not playing in the NFL is “good and bad.”
“He’s always around — I leave, he’s home, I come home, he’s home,” joked The Hills star and Uncommon James founder. “[But] it’s nice having him home so that he can pick the boys up from school or, like right now, I’m here in New York and he’s at home with the kids.”
“He made lunches this morning. He’s Mr. Mom right now,” Cavallari added. “It’s been really nice.”
Despite Cutler’s much-appreciated help around the house and with their little ones, he and Cavallari likely won’t be adding to their family any further. As she told Extra in July of last year: “We’re done — shop is closed!”
Her words matched up with what she told PEOPLE Now earlier that month, giving a pretty understandable explanation behind one of the reasons she and her husband are babied out.
“My daughter is 2½ and I don’t have to lug around a diaper bag anymore and all the crap,” said Cavallari. “We’re finally at a really good place where we can just pick up and go.”
Continued the mother of three, “All my kids have a little bit of independence, and we’re just in a really good place. I don’t want to go back to the diaper phase and all of that.”
Very Cavallari returns to E! on April 21 at 10 p.m. EST.
