Inspirational Australian Turia Pitt just showed off the first photo of her gorgeous baby bump.
The 29-year-old former mining engineer announced she is expecting her first child with husband Michael Hoskin on 60 Minutes last month, and now the happy couple is travelling through Namibia together.
“Pregnant bellies… some things cross all cultural boundaries!” Turia wrote on Instagram with the above photo.
“Whenever I meet new people, the first thing I do is find something in common with them. This remote Himba tribe was easy once I lifted up my shirt.”
The bushfire survivor is due to give birth to her first child in December, revealing to 60 Minutes that she discovered she was expecting a few days before she was due to fly to Mt Everest.
She told Hoskin while he was brushing his teeth. “I just walked in and I left the pregnancy stick there,” she said.
Turia also told the TV programme that she is confident her longtime partner Michael will make a brilliant father.
“He had to look after me for years, and he was so patient, so caring. I think those qualities, especially in a parent, are really desirable.”
Congrats again to the happy couple!
