After a laid-back holiday spent with boyfriend Alex Rodriguez and their blended family, the couple got back on their grind and kicked off the new year with a joint workout session at Gold’s Gym in Los Angeles on Jan. 1.
The couple that works out together, stays together. A-Rod shared a video of him and Lopez tearing up the gym on Instagram.
The singer is already starting to “Level Up,” and it’s only the first day of the year. “We back, day one, what it do?” she said in a video on her Instagram Story.
Barrymore danced her way into the new year at 305 Fitness. “getting my New Year’s Eve dance on because I am too old to go clubbing,” she joked on Instagram, adding the hashtags #momsnewyears, #stillneedtodance and #thisismygrownuparty. “MAY EVERYONE HAVE A HAPPY AND HEALTHY AND JOYUS NEW YEARS,” the actress captioned the video of her breaking it down in a crowded dance class.
The comedian is making sure to start his year off right — by “winning.” In a video posted to his Instagram Story, a hyped-up Hart shared his motivation to get back into the gym. “New year, new attitude, new goals, new blessings, new beginnings, new starts,” he yelled, before admitting to having had a double espresso — which he explained is “why my energy is on cloud f— nine.”
The actress, who hosts Red Table Talk with her mother, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and daughter, Willow Smith, kicked off the new year by inviting some fitness bloggers onto the Facebook Watch show.
“Taking care of your body in the way in which you want is an act of self-love … Self-love is discipline,” Pinkett Smith shared while introducing some at-home workouts. The three generations of women then learned some moves from YouTuber Whitney Simmons and Instagrammer Brittne Babe.

“As I head into next year it’s not about what we can do it’s what we MUST do as working moms and working dads. Anything is possible,” the tennis superstar urged on Instagram as she prepared for her match against Roger Federer at the Hopman Cup in Australia. “I am getting ready for the first match of the year and my dear sweet baby @olympiaohanian was tired and sad and simply needed mama’s love. So if it means warming up and stretching while holding my baby that’s what #thismama will do,” she added.
