K-pop stars and hair dye go together like peanut butter and jelly or avocados and toast. With that in mind, the fact that another girl group will soon cover the boxes of a brand-new hair dye should come as no surprise.
Back in July, Korean hair-care brand Mise-En-Scène announced that the ladies of Blackpink as its latest spokesmodels. However, a collab wasn't announced until Wednesday. Mise-En-Scène teased on Instagram that it would be launching a new version of its popular Perfect Serum with quick videos featuring the quartet with silkiest, shiniest hair you'll ever see.
The best part of the new campaign is Rosé dyed her hair rosé for the occasion (appropriate), and she looks stunning. I'm surprised it took this long for her to dye her hair pink. Maybe she wasn't ready to give in to the alcohol-inspired hair-color trend. (Now, I'm waiting for a K-pop star to dye their hair a mauve champagne hue, even though it wouldn't be as meta.)
The ladies of Blackpink will also be featured on the packaging of Mise-En-Scène's popular foam hair dye called Hello Bubble, which previously featured K-Pop group Girl's Day as ambassadors. On Twitter, Blinks (as Blackpink fans are called) have been sharing photos of some of the shades that will be available starting October 8. On each box, a different Blackpink member tries out the hair color with the help of Photoshop. Sadly, Mise-En-Scène didn't choose Rosé for the Rose Gold box. Instead, you can find Jisoo representing that hue with long, wavy pink hair. You can catch Rosé on the Khaki (an ashy green) box, though.
For those who want to keep their hair dark, look for the boxes with Jennie on them. She can be seen on Choco (a dark chocolate), Dusty (an ashy brown), and Brown (a true chocolate). Lisa, on the other hand, is on the packaging for the blonde options: Matte (a bronzey gold) and Vanilla (a yellow gold).
Mise-En-Scène will be releasing more info on its Blackpink collab, as well as a full-length video, on Monday, October 8. I'll be sure to keep you updated with any relevant info.
