How This Couple Added to Their Relationship by Cutting Things Out of It

Any relationship worth a damn takes work. But that doesn’t always mean you have to do more. Sometimes, the best way to add to the quality of your relationship is to eliminate certain things from it.

At least that’s what we learned from The Adventurist himself, Clint Carter, and his wife and Women’s Health contributor, Kiera. They consciously cut out specific elements of their daily routines and found their connection grew stronger.

Some of those things immediately make sense—everyone could probably stand to use their phone less while spending time with their partner. Other cases, however, were less intuitive. You’d think working out together would strengthen your bond (figuratively and literally), but the Carters figured out why, in this case, separate can be better.

One thing that never left the Carter household is one of their favorite snacks: the Chobani® Less Sugar Yogurt Greek Yogurt in their fridge. It has 50 percent less sugar than other yogurts* without missing any of the flavor and protein you need. Maybe there is such a thing as addition by subtraction.

*Chobani® Less Sugar Greek Yogurt: avg. 9g sugar; other yogurts: avg. 18g sugar per 5.3oz serving.
